
3 Killed, 23 Injured in Building Fire in China’s Shanxi
Xiaoyidian, China — A fire broke out in a building in Xiaoyidian, Shanxi province, at around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, killing three people and injuring 23 others.
Nine of the injured remain in critical condition, according to Xinhua News Agency.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
The incident comes amid broader concerns about fire safety in urban areas of China, following previous deadly fire incidents, as reported by Chinese state media.
