Afghan Embassy in Saudi Arabia to Begin Information Transfer Process for Residents on March 30

The Embassy of Afghanistan in Saudi Arabia announced that the information transfer process for Afghan residents in the kingdom will resume on Monday, March 30, 2026, corresponding to 11 Shawwal 1447. The process will take place through the embassy at Saudi immigration offices.

Applicants must register for appointments via the embassy website, after which a text message with the visit time will be sent to the registered phone number. Visitors without appointments are requested not to come to the embassy.

For the information transfer and simultaneous issuance of a new Afghan passport, applicants need to bring printed forms for passport, immigration permit and identity confirmation; copies of two witnesses' tazkiras from fellow Afghans along with witnesses' photos; biometrics for fingerprint registration; a certificate of no criminal record from Absher; the original Pakistani passport with entry visa and original residence permit; three copies of the Pakistani passport and residence permit; two copies of tazkira; seven 4x5 photos on a white background without Photoshop; printed Absher immigration details; and national address information.

Afghans with an Afghan passport matching their Pakistani passport can visit after booking an appointment, bringing two original matching Afghan passports plus a copy. Special cases require prior resolution, including escape reports, name or age discrepancies between documents, Afghan passport numbers in the immigration system, lost Pakistani passports (with loss report from immigration), or expired residence permits.

The embassy described the resumption as a result of its leadership's efforts and Saudi Arabia's continued cooperation with Afghan residents.
