Thousands Reported Killed Across Middle East Since US, Israel Attacks on Iran

Thousands of people have been killed across the Middle East since the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, according to figures from various sources that have not been independently verified.

The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a US-based group, reported on March 22 that 3,231 people had been killed, including 1,407 civilians and at least 210 children.

Lebanese officials said around 1,039 people had been killed in the country as a result of Israeli attacks. The World Health Organization reported that at least 100 of those killed in Lebanon were children.

At least 60 people had been killed in Iraq, most of them members of the Popular Mobilization Forces.

Iranian missile strikes killed 16 people in Israel, according to Israel's ambulance service. The Israeli military said two of its soldiers had been killed in southern Lebanon.

Thirteen members of the United States military had also been killed in the conflict. No details were provided on the number of injured.
