The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has reported that more than 2,100 children have been killed or injured since the beginning of the war in the Middle East.

UNICEF stated that 206 children were killed in Iran, 118 in Lebanon, four in Israel and one in Kuwait.

The organization noted that an average of 87 children have been killed or injured every day since the war began, with figures likely to rise as violence continues.

In Iran, UNICEF said about 3.2 million people have been displaced, including nearly 864,000 children.

In Lebanon, more than one million people are displaced, with about 370,000 children -- nearly one-third of the total -- sheltering in public places such as schools under difficult conditions.
