Afghanistan saw two deadly traffic accidents in the provinces of Maidan Wardak and Kunduz that left a total of eleven people dead and one injured, according to local security officials.

The first accident occurred last night in the Aziz Kala area, which is located in the Saydabad district of Maidan Wardak province. A passenger vehicle overturned on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in that location. As a consequence, five individuals died and one person was injured. Following the accident, the injured party was transported to a health center in the province of Ghazni to receive medical care. The spokesman for the Maidan Wardak provincial security command, Yusuf Asrar, confirmed these facts and pointed to the driver's carelessness and speeding as the reasons for the accident.

Separately, another traffic accident took place in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province. This accident led to the deaths of six people, two of whom were women. The spokesman for the Kunduz provincial security command, Juma al-Din Khaksar, reported the casualty figures and also blamed the incident on drivers' carelessness and speeding.

The information regarding both incidents was directly provided by the named spokesmen from the security commands of the two provinces.
