The bodies of at least 15 migrants washed ashore along the eastern Mediterranean coast of Libya near Tobruk. This event followed the capsizing of a boat carrying around 61 people.

Among the recovered bodies was that of a girl. The bodies were found at several locations along the coastline near the Egyptian border.

These recoveries took place over the past week. Two security officials noted that the remains were badly decomposed.

The officials also said that more bodies could still be found. In a separate incident, a boat capsized off the coast near Khumas city.

Medics there treated 13 migrants who survived that capsizing.
