
300 Rehabilitated Addicts Graduate from Vocational Training in Kabul
KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs held a graduation ceremony in Kabul for 300 individuals who completed vocational training after rehabilitation from addiction at the Aghoosh camp.
The event marked the sixth round of the program, with the graduates presented to society following their recovery and skills training.
Deputy Minister Molvi Zahed Ahmadzai stated that efforts are ongoing to provide job opportunities for rehabilitated addicts and the unemployed. He said more than 10,000 rehabilitated individuals have received vocational skills training in recent years.
Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics Molvi Abdul Rahman Qasemi noted that around 20,000 treatment beds are available nationwide for addicts. He described narcotics as a serious problem and affirmed that efforts continue to eradicate addiction.
