$400,000 Sports Complex Inaugurated in Logar Province

KALANGAR, Afghanistan -- A modern sports complex named Kolangar Sports Complex, costing around $400,000 and funded by national businessman Haji Romal Ekramkhel, was inaugurated in the Kalangar area of Logar province's capital.

Eng. Muzammil Naeemi, head of Physical Education and Sports, said the facility was constructed on more than half an acre of land over a period of eight months to modern standards. It includes halls for various sports.

Naeemi stated that the complex will support youth development in sports and create employment opportunities.

Deputy Governor Mawlawi Mohammad Anwar Dinparwar said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) supports such youth development projects. He urged national investors to invest domestically rather than abroad.

Local athletes welcomed the new facility, noting it will provide training opportunities and help improve sports coordination in the province.

Officials and athletes praised the inauguration during the ceremony, highlighting its role in promoting physical fitness and community engagement among the youth of Logar.
