585 Afghan Refugee Families Return from Pakistan and Iran

On Friday, the 29th of Jawza, 585 families of Afghan refugees returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan and Iran.

The returns occurred through the Torkham border point in Nangarhar province with 456 families, Spin Boldak in Kandahar with 81 families, the Silk Road crossing in Nimroz with 39 families, and Islam Qala in Herat with 9 families.

A total of 3,060 refugees and 732 passengers were recorded returning that day.

The High Commission for Addressing the Problems of Refugees provided the returnees with registration, financial aid, temporary shelter, informational sessions and distributed 594 SIM cards.

On the previous day, assistance was provided to 493 families in Torkham, 50 in Spin Boldak, 9 in Herat and 1 in Nimroz.
