Abdul Basir Qani, the Director General of Drug Regulation and Health Products at Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health, met with Abdullah Azizov, head of Uzbekistan's Medical and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Authority. The meeting took place during a visit by the Afghan official to Uzbekistan.

The two sides discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in medicine and health products. They focused on facilitating Uzbek pharmaceutical companies' entry into the Afghan market. Aligning inspection processes with international standards and improving medicine registration were reviewed during the talks.

Increasing pharmaceutical trade volume was another key topic. The officials also examined the development of laboratory infrastructure and the enhancement of specialist capacity through training.
