KABUL — The Afghan Red Crescent Society has distributed food and non-food aid valued at 259 million 725 thousand Afghanis to 1,250 internally displaced families across eight provinces, the society said.

The provinces include Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Zabul and Kandahar. The aid distribution was carried out on the instructions of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The assistance addresses displacement caused by artillery and mortar attacks from the Pakistan military regime along the Durand line, which has affected hundreds of families, according to the Afghan Red Crescent Society.

The society provided the aid to support those forced from their homes due to the cross-border shelling.

Reliability assessment

Single source (Hurriyat) provides direct, on-record attribution to Afghan Red Crescent Society—a named organization—with concrete, checkable details including exact family count (1250), listed provinces, aid value, and PM instruction. 'Society said X' (aid distributed, displacement due to attacks) is reliably attributable regardless of controversy.

The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Hurriyat: "Pakistan military regime" - derogatory framing implying authoritarian rule; "Durand hypothetical line" - dismisses the border as fictitious, a politically loaded denial common in Afghan rhetoric.
