
Afghan Rural Rehabilitation Minister Meets World Food Programme Head
KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, minister of rural rehabilitation and development for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with the head of the World Food Programme on Saturday to discuss ongoing projects.
The two sides focused on challenges in remote and deprived areas of the country, with Mansour emphasizing the need for standard-quality joint activities in those regions, according to statements from both Omid Radio and RTA.
The WFP head -- identified as John Iliff by Omid Radio and John Aylieff by RTA -- expressed thanks to the ministry for past cooperation and assured continued collaboration with the Islamic Emirate. RTA reported that the WFP official also voiced satisfaction with security conditions in the country.
Both parties highlighted the importance of prioritizing projects in underserved areas and pledged to expand coordination moving forward.
