
Afghanistan and Kazakhstan Emphasize Expanding Cooperation in Water and Energy Sectors
KABUL — Mujib-ur-Rahman Omar Akhundzada, Afghanistan's deputy minister of water and energy, met with Gaziz Akbasov, Kazakhstan's ambassador to Kabul, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the water and energy sectors.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Water and Energy, Akhundzada emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in water resource management and sustainable energy development. He expressed Afghanistan's readiness to utilize its capacities in these fields to foster stronger ties.
Akbasov highlighted the need for investment in Afghanistan's water and energy projects. He assured the continuation of scientific and technical collaboration between the two nations.
Both sides placed emphasis on maintaining ongoing dialogues and strengthening overall cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. The meeting underscores mutual interest in advancing joint initiatives amid shared regional priorities in water and energy.
