KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Floods across more than 20 provinces in Afghanistan have killed at least 99 people and injured 154 others, the National Disaster Management Authority announced.
NDMA spokesman Mohammad Yousuf Hammad said 13 people were killed and 13 wounded in the past 24 hours, contributing to the updated totals.
The disaster has impacted about 6,000 families. More than 3,400 homes have been fully or partially destroyed, around 11,700 jeribs of agricultural land have been wiped out, and 337 kilometers of roads have sustained damage.
Forecasts indicate further rainfall in affected areas.
