Afghanistan ranked third in imports of sweetened carbonated soft drinks from South Korea in 2025 with $13.4 million, behind Cambodia and Russia, according to South Korean customs data published by TASS. The country placed second in the first two months of 2026 with $3.1 million in imports.

Data from the South Korean Customs Administration, published by TASS news agency, shows Afghanistan as the third largest importer of sweetened carbonated soft drinks from South Korea in 2025, with imports valued at $13.4 million.

Cambodia ranked first with $56.5 million, while Russia was second at $19.1 million. Russia has maintained second place among importers of these products from South Korea from 2020 to 2025. Afghanistan previously held third place in 2019, behind Cambodia and Russia.

Following Afghanistan, the United States imported $6.67 million worth, placing fourth, and the Netherlands $6.66 million in fifth place. China, Vietnam and the Philippines followed in subsequent positions.

In the first two months of 2026, Afghanistan imported $3.1 million worth, securing second place. Cambodia led with $6.9 million, and Russia was third with $1.49 million.

The statistics highlight sustained demand for South Korean sweetened carbonated soft drinks in Asian markets and select other countries.
