
Afghanistan's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Handles 14,594 Child Protection Cases in 1404
KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs handled 14,594 child protection cases in the solar year 1404, the ministry's Child Protection Presidency reported. The cases, involving vulnerable children, were categorized into 23 different types.
The ministry conducted awareness programs that reached 404,207 children and family members. Topics included child rights, dangers from explosives, environmental preservation and other issues related to child protection.
In addition, the ministry established 20 new child protection committees at district levels in provincial centers during 1404. This brought the total number of active child protection committees nationwide to 204, operating across districts throughout the country.
The efforts underscore the ministry's ongoing work to safeguard vulnerable children and promote awareness of protection mechanisms amid various risks.
