
Bamyan Launches Campaign to Plant 385,120 Saplings
The Shani Sapling campaign was launched in Bamyan province with Governor Qari Gul Haider Shafaq in attendance.
Officials from the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, along with representatives from various institutions, participated in the launching ceremony at Tapa Chuni recreational park in central Bamyan. An official from the agriculture department stated that the campaign, supported by cooperating institutions, aims to plant 385,120 fruit-bearing and non-fruit-bearing saplings across the province.
Governor Shafaq highlighted the importance of planting saplings and creating green spaces for a healthy environment and improved public health. He expressed gratitude to the agriculture department and other institutions for initiating the campaign and urged proper care and maintenance to ensure the healthy growth of the saplings.
The governor described tree planting as a fundamental factor in fostering environmental health and public well-being.
