The Bayat Foundation distributed food packages to dozens of needy families in Farah province as part of its ongoing Ramadan assistance program.
The aid targets families facing severe poverty and economic difficulties. The packages contain flour, rice and cooking oil.
Faridun Abdullah, the foundation's representative in Farah, said a survey team had previously identified needy individuals across various districts and villages in the province. "Today these aids, including flour, rice and oil, are being distributed," he said.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support and called for increased cooperation. One recipient stated: "Thanks to the Bayat Foundation's aid provided to the needy people of Farah province during the holy month of Ramadan."
Another added: "Thanks to the Bayat Charity Foundation for helping us during the holy month of Ramadan."
The Bayat Foundation has conducted annual Ramadan aid distributions for needy families since its establishment. Officials said the program will continue until the end of Ramadan in Kabul and other provinces.
