BHC Health Center Construction Begins in Nangarhar's Spin Ghar District

The Ministry of Public Health has officially announced the start of construction for a Basic Health Center (BHC) in the Spin Ghar district of Nangarhar province. This project is part of a broader effort to enhance the availability of primary healthcare services for the residents of the region.

The health center is being constructed on a plot of land measuring three jeribs. The total cost associated with the construction of the facility is estimated at 7.1 million Afghanis.

The facility is designed to offer a comprehensive suite of essential health services. These include specialized care for maternal and child health, nutritional services to combat malnutrition, and the administration of vaccinations. These services are intended to improve overall public health outcomes within the Spin Ghar district.

To ensure the effective delivery of these medical services, the center will be operated by a dedicated health team. The Ministry of Public Health has specified that this team will consist of 11 health professionals who will be responsible for the daily operations and patient care at the facility.

The establishment of this center aims to reduce the distance residents must travel to receive basic medical attention and provides a localized hub for critical health interventions in Nangarhar province.
