CENTCOM Claims Naval Blockade Has Completely Stopped Iran's Sea Trade

The US Central Command, also known as CENTCOM, stated that the military blockade imposed has completely stopped Iran's trade and economy via sea. The command detailed that this measure has fully halted Iran's exports and imports conducted through sea routes, thereby affecting the nation's economic activities dependent on maritime trade.
To back up its claims, CENTCOM has published images on the social media platform X. The images show a US guided-missile destroyer patrolling the regional waters as part of the support for the naval blockade of Iran's ports. In addition, US sailors and Marines who are aboard cargo ships are actively conducting the blockade operations in the Arabian Sea.
Iran has not yet made any reaction to the statements issued by CENTCOM.
This situation is unfolding amid prior threats from US President Donald Trump regarding the ceasefire. Trump has threatened that if an agreement is not reached with Iran by Wednesday, the ceasefire will not be extended.
On the other side, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who serves as the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has warned that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed if the US naval blockade continues. Ghalibaf has stated that Tehran does not trust Washington.
