Central Zone Provincial Officials Hold Coordination Meeting in Kabul
Senior civilian and military officials from Afghanistan’s Central Zone gathered in Kabul on May 7 for a coordination meeting focused on regional security and administrative operations. The session, held at the Kabul Governor’s office, was chaired by Kabul Governor Mullah Aminullah Obaid and included provincial governors alongside security and intelligence representatives from Maidan Wardak, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, and Bamyan.
The meeting agenda prioritized the implementation of the Amir al-Mu'minin’s directives across the region. Discussions centered on strengthening inter-provincial cooperation to streamline administrative functions and enhance security coordination. Officials emphasized the need for stricter enforcement measures to combat narcotics trafficking and curb urban disorder, noting that coordinated efforts are essential for maintaining regional stability.
The gathering also addressed public safety and civic concerns. Attendees reviewed current security assessments and outlined strategies to reduce traffic accidents, which remain a persistent challenge in urban centers. Provincial representatives highlighted the importance of establishing more responsive mechanisms to address local grievances and improve public service delivery across the five participating provinces.
Mullah Aminullah Obaid underscored the necessity of unified action among Central Zone provinces to maintain stability and ensure the effective execution of national policies. The meeting concluded with a commitment to regular follow-up assessments and continued information sharing between civilian administrations and security apparatuses in the region.
