A clean drinking water supply network has been completed and commissioned in Saifalzo village of Maruf district in Kandahar province.
The project provides access to clean water for 38 households. Funded by UNICEF at a cost of five million afghanis, it includes a twenty cubic meter water storage tank, two thousand nine hundred fifty five meters of piping, twelve solar panels, and thirty eight taps.
Rahmatullah Shaker, spokesman for the Kandahar provincial Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, said the network has been handed over for use. He added that the project created jobs for dozens of people during its implementation.
