Construction Begins on New Primary School in Paktika; Daykundi Facility Opens
Construction has officially begun on the Adin Baba Primary School in the Khwamand District of Paktika Province. The project is being financed by the Ministry of Education with a budget of approximately 11,084,000 Afghanis. Once completed, the educational facility will provide six standard classrooms, a dedicated laboratory, and an administrative office for staff. Provincial authorities have indicated that construction is scheduled to conclude within the current year, aiming to provide local students with a structured learning environment.
Concurrently, educational infrastructure efforts have advanced in central Afghanistan with the completion and official handover of the Al-Mustafa Co-educational Primary School building in the Khadir District of Daykundi Province. The facility has been transferred to local education authorities and is now ready to accommodate students.
The opening ceremony in Daykundi featured remarks from provincial leadership. Maulawi Sher Mohammad Sediqi, the director of education for Daykundi, addressed the gathering and emphasized the necessity of combining contemporary academic curricula with religious studies. He noted that such educational initiatives are vital for the intellectual and moral development of the younger generation. Both projects underscore ongoing provincial and national efforts to rehabilitate and expand school facilities in rural districts, addressing infrastructure needs in Paktika and Daykundi through targeted ministry funding and local oversight.
