Construction of Hospital Begins in Maidan Wardak Province

The Ministry of Public Health has launched the construction of a general hospital in the Jaghatu district of Maidan Wardak province. This marks the beginning of work on a new medical facility for the region.

The project is valued at between forty eight and forty nine million Afghanis. Sources provide slightly different figures for the total cost of the hospital.

The hospital is planned to have thirty beds. It will provide a range of medical services to patients, such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, and obstetrics.

Construction will take place on five jeribs of land. The entire project is expected to be finished in eighteen months.

This hospital is included in a group of three hundred eighteen health facilities being constructed in remote areas. The broader program follows directives from the Amir al-Mu'minin.

Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Minister of Public Health, attended the event to begin construction. He described the hospital as an important step for standard treatment in the area.

The minister added that the new facility will expand health service access for local residents. He also reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to delivering quality and equitable services nationwide.
