Da Afghanistan Breshna Company CEO Visits Uzbekistan for Energy Discussions

Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, chief executive officer of Da Afghanistan Breshna Company, traveled to Uzbekistan and met with officials from the National Electricity Company. The discussions focused on ongoing power transmission projects and opportunities for expanded cooperation in the energy sector.

Hamkar stated that bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have strengthened, marking the start of a new chapter of cooperation, particularly in electricity. He highlighted Uzbekistan's investment in the Surkhan-Pul-e-Khumri power transmission project as a sign of mutual trust.

Uzbek officials provided updates on the 220-kilovolt Surkhan-Pul-e-Khumri transmission project, the Arghandi substation and transmission line, and the Jalalabad substation. They assured that all projects would be completed on schedule and to high technical standards.

The initiatives are expected to generate job opportunities for Afghan companies and technical staff while building greater capacity in Afghanistan's electricity sector.
