Defense forces from the 313 Central Corps recovered the bodies of two young men who drowned in a water pond in Kabul's Mahipar area. The men had traveled from Kabul city for a recreational trip when one fell into the pond while taking photos and the second died attempting to rescue him.

The 3rd Infantry Brigade led a joint search operation with health teams, security forces and local residents. The bodies were located during the effort, transported to Kabul by military ambulance and handed over to the families.
