Deputy Public Health Minister Visits Kabul Hospitals to Assess Service Quality and Renovation Progress

Deputy Minister of Public Health Qari Abdul Wali Sediqi recently visited medical facilities in Kabul to evaluate the quality of healthcare services and review ongoing infrastructure projects. During his visits, he inspected the National and Specialized Hospital for Infectious Diseases and Al-Shifa Hospital, focusing on operational standards and patient care protocols.

At both facilities, Sediqi directed medical staff and administrative personnel to prioritize service quality and maintain strict ethical responsibilities in their daily duties. He emphasized the importance of addressing patient concerns promptly and ensuring that clinical practices align with established healthcare guidelines. The deputy minister also reviewed feedback mechanisms currently in place to monitor patient satisfaction and staff performance.

A significant portion of the visit was dedicated to assessing construction and renovation work at Al-Shifa Hospital. Sediqi inspected the progress of the upgrades, which are designed to expand the facility’s capacity for specialized medical treatments. He instructed project managers and contractors to adhere to strict medical and engineering standards while working toward the timely completion of the renovations.

According to the deputy minister, the modernization efforts aim to reduce the need for patients to seek specialized medical care abroad. By upgrading domestic facilities and improving service delivery, the Ministry of Public Health intends to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare within the country. Sediqi reiterated that continuous oversight and accountability will remain central to the ministry’s efforts to strengthen the national healthcare system.
