The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has begun construction of a drinking water supply network in Kata Sang village of Sheikh Ali district in Parwan province.

The project, which exceeds 6.3 million Afghanis in cost, includes two clean water reservoirs of 20 cubic meters capacity each, 17,601 meters of pipes and 192 taps.

Upon completion the network will deliver clean drinking water to 255 families while creating temporary jobs for dozens of local residents. The ministry had previously launched a similar network in Saadullah Ulia village near the Parwan center at a cost of 7.5 million Afghanis.
