
Eight Killed, One Injured in Parwan Roof Collapse; Two Dead in Ghazni
KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Eight people including women and children died and one was injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Baghandak village, Dare Khishki area of Syahgird district in Parwan province due to heavy rains overnight, according to Abdul Alim Afzali of the Taliban police command.
RTA reported that the victims in Parwan were eight family members including four children and two women.
Separately in Qarabagh district of Ghazni province, two men were killed while repairing a rain-damaged roof in Akhtwalu village, Abu Khalid Sarhadi, spokesman for the Ghazni Security Command, said.
Taliban officials told Amu TV that natural disasters nationwide from April 6 to 20 of the current solar year have killed 157 people, injured 229, left nine missing and caused extensive damage to more than 8,500 homes, hundreds of kilometers of roads and agricultural land.
