Equipment belonging to the England national football team went missing during a shipment from Florida to Kansas City ahead of the two thousand twenty six World Cup.

The missing items were valued at approximately eighteen thousand dollars. They consisted of cleats, jerseys, goalkeeper gloves, a World Cup match ball, shorts, shirts, electronics, two stuffed lion mascots, a LEGO sneaker set, and signed national team jerseys.

The equipment was recovered following the incident. Two men have been charged in the case.

Mustafa Salik, who is forty years old, and Erfan Kamal, who is thirty five years old, both live in San Antonio. They worked as drivers of the tractor trailer that was hired to transport the gear. The alleged offense took place on or about June eleventh.

The two individuals face one count each of receiving stolen property. This is classified as a class D felony.

The men are Afghan born. They previously worked for American Special Forces in Afghanistan. They are now United States citizens.

The pair claimed they believed they had permission to take the property. They said the permission came from someone connected to England's Football Association.

Preparations for the England team were not affected by the incident. No essential gear remained missing for an extended period.
