Floods have caused damage in the Spin Kan area and surrounding areas of Nadar Shah Kot district in Khost. Numerous homes were destroyed. Around 400 jeribs of agricultural land have been completely destroyed and damaged due to the floods. Retaining walls have been washed away by the floods. A kariz and a siphon built for water regulation have gone out of operation due to the floods. The only school in the area has been damaged by the floods. Many families have been displaced from their homes and are seeking aid.
Khost governor spokesman Mostagfar Garbz said technical teams from relevant departments have started efforts to address the problems. He said joint actions with aid organizations for reconstruction will be taken soon.
