Yusuf Hamad, spokesman for the Disaster Management Administration, reported that natural disasters including floods, storms and lightning over the past 24 hours affected 236 families across Afghanistan. Twenty homes were completely destroyed and ten others were damaged.

The disasters also destroyed infrastructure and farmland. Two kilometers of road, seven wells, 60 jeribs of agricultural land, 30 canals and 700 solar panels were ruined.

Since the sixth of Hamal, 250 people have been killed and 344 injured nationwide due to natural disasters. In total, 1,708 houses have been destroyed and 6,494 damaged.

Heavy rainfall, flooding and storms caused damage in Kabul's Istalif district. Storms with dust and strong winds affected Farah, Zabul, Kandahar, Uruzgan and Helmand, while a massive dust cloud formed in Herat.
