
Foreign Ministry Holds Meeting on Implementing Amir al-Mu'minin's Supreme Decree No. 17
KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting to discuss the importance and better implementation of Supreme Decree No. 17 issued by Amir al-Mu'minin (may Allah protect him). The session focused on preventing improper social practices in kinship ties, weddings, funerals, Hajj and Umrah.
Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi stated that the continuation of un-Islamic customs contradicts Islamic teachings and imposes economic burdens on the people. He urged adherence to Sharia principles in regulating social behavior and avoiding practices contrary to Islam.
Muttaqi emphasized that moderation and balance form the basis of Islamic life. He added that the Islamic Emirate prioritizes societal reform and the promotion of Islamic values.
The deputy foreign minister and other scholars also delivered speeches on the decree and its practical implementation.
