Former Afghan governors condemn Pakistan's attacks on Afghanistan
KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Several governors from Afghanistan's previous government condemned attacks by Pakistan's military regime on Afghan territory during a press conference in Kabul on Tuesday, issuing a joint statement.
They described the attacks as violations of Islamic and international laws, vowing to stand alongside the Islamic Emirate and Afghan citizens in any situation. The governors assured support for the Islamic Emirate's security forces in defending the country and urged political figures, religious scholars, tribal elders, professors, and youth to unite against the attacks.
According to the statement, Pakistan's military regime violated Afghan airspace on the night of Sunday, 2 Hoot (solar year 1404), targeting civilian areas in Nangarhar and Paktika provinces. Afghan forces responded with attacks on Pakistani military facilities starting from 8 Hoot. Islamic Emirate officials stated that these responses inflicted heavy casualties on the Pakistani side.
The governors called the conflict an imposed war and demanded a decisive response from the Islamic Emirate's security and defense forces to any further Pakistani attacks.
Last Friday, hundreds of Kabul residents held a protest rally condemning the Pakistani attacks and expressing support for Afghan forces.
