
Four Health Centers Put into Operation in Khost Province Districts
KHOST, Afghanistan — Four health centers in four districts of Khost province have been constructed for approximately 27 million Afghanis and put into operation.
Khost Governor Maulvi Abdullah Mukhtar attended the inauguration ceremony. He highlighted ongoing development projects nationwide, estimated the provincial population at 2.2 million people and assured improved health services for residents. Mukhtar also appreciated the efforts of public health officials and pledged to resolve any remaining issues.
Khost Public Health Director Maulvi Akhtar Mohammad Okrama stated that the new centers would address health problems in the districts. He added that authorities would expand efforts to ensure timely and quality health services across the province.
The inauguration underscores continued infrastructure improvements in the health sector in Khost, a southeastern province bordering Pakistan.
