Anas Haqqani, a senior member of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated during Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in southeastern Khost province that the country’s political process will continue and efforts to address current challenges will persist.

He made the remarks on Thursday at the central Mohammadi Grand Mosque. Haqqani emphasized that Afghanistan would not bow to any pressure and would stand against threats if necessary.

Addressing the gathering, Haqqani urged people to focus on resolving their personal issues amid the current situation. He called on the public to improve their individual conduct, saying this would help overcome difficult conditions. According to Haqqani, if people address their own shortcomings, even oppressive systems would not be able to dominate them.

Haqqani stated that Afghans, despite limited resources, had defeated major world powers due to their strong faith, an achievement that had inspired other oppressed nations.

Referring to the current situation, he encouraged people not to lose determination, adding that strong resolve would help overcome challenges. Haqqani reassured the public, saying, “People should not worry. This is not a major problem, and the system is committed to providing facilities for the public as much as possible.”

He urged people to avoid panic and reject ethnic or linguistic divisions, instead placing their faith in Islam and trust in God.
