A health center has been constructed and inaugurated in the Takana area of Jalrez district in Maidan Wardak province. The facility was built at a cost of more than 100,000 US dollars over a period of six months and supplied with all necessary equipment.
The project was implemented by the Directorate of Borders, Tribes and Ethnic Affairs in cooperation with the Children's Support Fund. It was handed over for use to deliver basic health services to residents of the Takana area and surrounding villages.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Maidan Wardak Governor Mola Khairullah Khairkhah, Advisor Maulvi Mohammad Amin Hamdard, other local officials and area residents.
Governor Mola Khairullah Khairkhah stated that the health center will resolve many treatment problems for local people. He called on health personnel to provide services according to professional principles.
The new facility is intended to improve access to basic healthcare for communities in the district.
