The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, visited the Sar-e Pol Provincial Hospital to evaluate the delivery of medical services and inspect facility conditions. During the visit, the minister reviewed staff attendance, the availability of essential medicines, and the operational status of medical equipment.
Mawlawi Jalali directed hospital personnel to maintain professional standards and ensure patients receive consistent, high-quality care. He emphasized the importance of ethical conduct and respectful communication between health workers and patients. Provincial Governor Mullah Ahmad Shah Din Dost, who accompanied the delegation, pledged full administrative cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health to support ongoing improvements at the facility.
Hospital administrators outlined several operational challenges during the inspection. Officials reported shortages of specific medications and a pressing need for additional medical equipment. They also requested targeted training programs to enhance the technical capacity of local health workers. In response, ministry representatives assured provincial staff that the central health authority would coordinate with relevant departments to address the reported gaps and facilitate resource allocation.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts by health authorities to standardize medical service delivery across provincial facilities. Officials indicated that continued oversight and interdepartmental coordination will remain priorities as the ministry works to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve patient outcomes in the region.
