Human Rights Groups Warn of Intensified Forced Evictions of Palestinians in East Jerusalem

Human rights organizations have warned that Israel has intensified forced displacement of Palestinians across occupied territories, including East Jerusalem.

B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights group, stated that at least 11 Palestinian families have been evicted from their homes in south Jerusalem near Al-Aqsa Mosque. The group warned that such actions represent an expansion of efforts to forcibly displace Palestinian families in East Jerusalem.

The Norwegian Refugee Council announced that more than 1,000 other Palestinians in East Jerusalem are at risk of forced expulsion.

Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are facing a wave of increasing violence from settlers and Israeli military personnel.

United Nations statistics indicate that at least 1,052 Palestinians have been killed by settlers and Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank since the war began.
