
Iranian and Russian Presidents Hold Phone Talks on Middle East Developments
MOSCOW (Afghan Verified) -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation on recent Middle East developments, according to a Kremlin press release cited by both Hurriyat and RTA.
Pezeshkian shared his assessment of recent Iran-US talks held in Islamabad, the outlets reported. Putin emphasized Russia's readiness to assist in a political and diplomatic solution to regional crises and offered Moscow's mediation, the Kremlin statement said.
Hurriyat reported that the Iran-US talks in Islamabad had failed amid rising violence in the region and growing international concerns. RTA added that Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Russia's international stance on the issues.
The call comes as tensions persist in the Middle East, with both leaders addressing the latest developments during their discussion.
