Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran has never requested a ceasefire or negotiations with the United States.
Araghchi's remarks followed US President Donald Trump's comments that Iran wants an agreement but that the conditions are not good enough. In an interview with CBS News, Araghchi said: "We see no reason why we should talk to the Americans, because we were talking to them when they decided to attack us."
He added: "This is a war that President Trump and the United States have chosen, and we will continue to defend ourselves."
According to experts cited by Bakhtar News, the consequences of the war affect America and the Israeli occupying regime more than Iran. They noted rising reactions in America, with some of Trump's advisors reportedly urging him to declare victory and withdraw from the conflict.
