IRGC Denies Attacks on Any Country Since Ceasefire
TEHRAN (Afghan Verified) -- The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has denied conducting any attacks on any country since the start of a ceasefire.
The denial was issued in response to a Kuwaiti military report that one of its National Guard bases was targeted early Friday morning, causing significant material damage but no casualties. Kuwait announced that air defense systems were activated against drones and that some vital facilities came under attack.
In its statement, the IRGC attributed any such incidents, if true, to the "Zionist enemy" or the United States. The IRGC emphasized that it would publicly announce any strikes it carries out.
The IRGC's response came hours after Kuwait's announcement, addressing claims of drone and missile attacks on the base. No further details were provided by either side regarding the ceasefire's context or the specific timing of its initiation.
Kuwaiti officials described the attack as involving drones targeting key infrastructure, with air defenses successfully intercepting threats but unable to prevent all material damage. The incident marks a potential escalation in regional tensions amid ongoing reports of cross-border activities.
