
Islamic Emirate Ambassador in Tashkent Meets Uzbek Vice President's Advisor on Bilateral Ties
TASHKENT (Afghan Verified) -- Sheikh Abdul Ghafar Bahr, ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tashkent, met with Jolan Vohabov, head of the Central Asia International Institute and advisor to the vice president of Uzbekistan.
The two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations, scientific, economic and commercial cooperation, regional connectivity, and transit development, according to a statement from the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate in Tashkent.
They also referred to aggressions by the Pakistani military regime on Afghan soil and emphasized respect for Afghanistan's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The meeting underscores ongoing diplomatic efforts between the Islamic Emirate and Uzbekistan to enhance cooperation amid regional challenges. Bahr and Vohabov exchanged views on expanding ties in key areas vital for mutual economic benefits and improved regional links.
Such engagements highlight Uzbekistan's role as a key partner for Afghanistan in Central Asia, focusing on practical measures for trade, transit routes, and scientific exchanges to foster stability and prosperity.
