Islamic Emirate Foreign Minister Holds Phone Conversation with UAE Counterpart
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The two discussed issues between Afghanistan and the United States, the regional situation, and recent developments between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Muttaqi condemned the wars initiated by the United States in the region as a condemnable violation and praised the patience of the UAE.
He stated that Afghanistan wants to resolve issues with Pakistan through dialogue and will not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against Pakistan.
The UAE Foreign Minister said that the tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan is not in the interest of any side. He added that the UAE will continue its efforts to resolve the problems and will keep playing a positive role in Afghanistan-US relations, which he described as important.
