Islamic Emirate Officials Condemn Recent Pakistani Attacks During Eid al-Fitr

KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Eid al-Fitr prayers were held in the newly built mosque at the Arg with the presence of deputy prime ministers and cabinet ministers.

In remarks delivered by Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Abdul Waseh Khadem, the prime minister strongly condemned a recent attack by the Pakistani military regime on the Hope Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Kabul, calling it an unforgivable crime that martyred and wounded a large number of compatriots. Khadem said the Islamic Emirate believes in peaceful resolution of tensions through dialogue but considers defending the country and people a responsibility as a responsible government.

Deputy Administrative Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi stated that the Islamic Emirate does not interfere in others' internal affairs and favors good relations and diplomacy with neighbors. He added that defending territorial integrity against aggression is a religious and principled right.

The Minister of Refugees and Repatriates also condemned the recent attacks by the Pakistani military regime on various parts of the country during an Eid al-Fitr gathering at the White Palace, saying the ongoing war is not in the interest of people from either country.

Anas Haqqani, a senior Islamic Emirate member, emphasized reciprocal responses to foreign aggressions during remarks in Khost. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir condemned the attacks from Pakistan as against international and Islamic principles, stating no one will be allowed to aggress on Afghanistan's sovereignty or interfere in its internal affairs.

Former President Hamid Karzai condemned the recent attacks by the Pakistani military regime on Kabul in his Eid message and called for reopening girls' education in the coming year.
