Islamic Emirate Prime Minister Akhund Calls for Mutual Understanding, Condemns Pakistani Actions in Eid al-Fitr Message
KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, issued a message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr stating that the Islamic Emirate believes in mutual understanding and peaceful resolution of issues.
Akhund condemned the recent crimes of the Pakistani military regime in Afghanistan. He emphasized that defending the people and the country is a religious and conscientious responsibility of the Islamic Emirate.
The prime minister added that the Islamic Emirate strives to resolve problems with any side through dialogue.
The message underscores the Islamic Emirate's position on handling disputes peacefully while asserting its duty to protect Afghan territory and citizens amid reported incursions from Pakistan. Akhund's statements come during Eid al-Fitr celebrations, a major Islamic holiday marking the end of Ramadan.
