
Islamic Emirate Unveils Pormukhtag Website as New Information Bank for Afghan Media
Kabul - High-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate unveiled the 'Pormukhtag' website at the Arg, launching it as a new information bank for Afghan media.
The event coincided with the 100th issue of the 'Arg Page'.
Islamic Emirate spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid said the Information Bank aims to provide the media with easy access to accurate and documented information about the Islamic Emirate's achievements and progress. He noted that it would help in countering enemy propaganda.
Mujahid stated that every step taken in the field of information has a positive impact on the lives of the people and the system. He urged spokespersons of Islamic Emirate institutions to submit timely and accurate information to the bank.
Dr. Wase, head of the Prime Minister's Office, emphasized the role of information in society and the Islamic Emirate's commitment to supporting the media and sharing information without censorship.
Hujatullah Mujaddadi, head of the Free Journalists Union of Afghanistan, praised the media's professionalism during what he described as Pakistan's aggression. He called for more facilities for the media, enhancements to press freedom and the pardon of detained journalists.
Latif Nazari, deputy minister of economy, spoke on the importance of the media in conveying the progress of the country.
