GAZA CITY — An Israeli drone strike targeting a vehicle in western Gaza City killed Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent Mohammed Wishah on Wednesday, medics and the network reported.
Wishah was one of four people killed in the strikes, according to Reuters. Al Jazeera confirmed the details of the incident, stating the strike hit the vehicle where the journalist was located.
The network condemned the attack, describing it as part of a pattern of targeting journalists. Al Jazeera said at least 10 of its staff members have been killed in Gaza since October 2023.
Palestinian media bodies and reports have documented more than 220 journalists killed overall in the war.
Israel has stated that it does not deliberately target journalists.

Reliability assessment
Single source (Khaama Press) provides concrete, checkable details: named victim (Mohammed Wishah), specific location (Gaza City, western area), direct attribution to medics, Al Jazeera, and Reuters for casualties and circumstances.
The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Khaama Press: "extreme danger", "deadliest places in the world for reporters", "narrowing one of the few direct windows into events on the ground" – these phrases employ emotional framing and imply systematic threats to journalism beyond neutral fact-reporting.
