Kabul Municipality to Host Second Flower and Ornamental Plant Exhibition

Kabul Municipality has announced plans to organize its second flower and ornamental plant exhibition in the capital. The event is intended to promote environmental awareness, expand urban green spaces, and provide a platform for the sale of plants by both public and private growers.

Preparations for the exhibition are being overseen by Mawlawi Mohammad Khalid Sajestani, the municipality’s deputy of municipal services, who recently chaired a planning meeting to coordinate logistics. Municipal officials noted that the initiative builds on the success of the inaugural exhibition held last year, which drew a positive public response.

The upcoming event will focus on gathering community feedback regarding plant species best suited to the local climate. Officials stated that the exhibition will also serve as a marketplace where private sector growers can showcase their products. Additionally, residents will have the opportunity to purchase flowers and ornamental plants cultivated in municipal nurseries at reduced prices.

Municipal authorities emphasized that the project aligns with broader efforts to improve urban environmental conditions and encourage civic participation in greening initiatives.
