Kamala Harris Criticizes US and Israeli War Against Iran as Unnecessary
Kamala Harris, the former vice president of the United States, has come out strongly against the war that the United States and Israel have waged against Iran. She has described the war as unnecessary and said it was created as a distraction from the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Harris delivered her criticism in a speech at the annual meeting of the Michigan Democratic Women’s Committee. During her address, she pointed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the main influence behind Donald Trump's decision to enter the war. Harris said the move was against the will of the American people.
In her remarks, the former vice president did not hold back in her assessment of the Trump administration. She called it the most corrupt, ruthless and incompetent administration in the history of the United States. Harris went as far as to call Trump a mafia boss.
She has expressed her firm opposition to the war, which she has labeled as illegal. Harris stated that the American people do not want to send their children to fight in this conflict. She stressed that the war does not have the support of the public.
Harris argued that the timing of the war with Iran was suspicious and that it was meant to take attention away from the Epstein case. She said that Netanyahu had involved Trump in this unnecessary war for that purpose.
The comments by Harris underscore her belief that the war was not in line with American interests and was instead a political maneuver.
